Hieronymus Bosch , born Jheronimus van Aken (c. 1450 – 9 August 1516), was a Dutch/Netherlandish painter from Brabant. He is one of the most notable representatives of the Early Netherlandish painting school. His work is known for its fantastic imagery, detailed landscapes, and illustrations of religious concepts and narratives. Bosch's personal life is relatively unknown, but it is known that he was married and had at least one child. He was also a highly religious man, and his works often reflect his beliefs.
