About the artist
Lucy Willis, an adept watercolourist trained at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art in Oxford, has multiple books to her credit elucidating painting techniques. Her tranquil collection of prints with subdued hues beautifully suits both traditional and artsy spaces. Known for murals, portraits, and illustrations, Willis notably painted Lord and Lady Longford for the National Portrait Gallery. She's conducted painting workshops in diverse locations like Dubai, Zanzibar, and Egypt, with frequent travels to Oman and West Africa. Besides this, Willis is recognised for her vibrant paintings of far-off places and has been a regular tutor on painting trips for The Artist magazine since 1990. She has also authored four books and numerous articles on painting techniques, complete with her illustrations.
