About the artist
Ron is drawn to the raw beauty of desolate locations. He's spent years encapsulating the unspoiled grandeur of the Scottish Highlands and Outer Hebrides.
Ron's affinity for art began early on. At age 10, he sketched anything he found. By 16 his cinema inspired portfolio gain him a place in an art studio of publishers DC Thomson in Dundee, that became a 34 year career. He has now dedicated himself entirely to painting in 2010. His modern Scottish landscapes have gained worldwide popularity, appearing in global private collections. Regular exhibitions take place in Scotland, London, and New York.
Once a marathon runner and cyclist, Ron now invests all his energy in painting, though he anticipates returning to cycling. His travels across the Highlands and Islands to capture their inspiring landscapes is something he finds immensely fulfilling.
