About this artwork
The print you're looking at is of superb quality and originates from a coloured, hand-completed stipple engraving named Rosa Indica: Rosier des Indes jaune. It was engraved by Joseph Marie Bessin, who was born in 1765 and based it on an original work by Pierre Joseph Redouté, who was born in 1759 and died in 1840. This specific piece is from P. J. Redouté's collection, Choix des plus belles fleurs. The collection was published in Paris, in a series of parts. Each part contained four plates, and the series was published between 1827 to 1833. This one is Plate 133.
