About the artist
From 1915 until his death, his art was regularly showcased at the Royal Hibernian Academy. In 1928, not only was Craig elected to the Royal Ulster Academy and the Royal Hibernian Academy, but he also exhibited at the Fine Arts Society in London and was an esteemed member of the Ulster Academy of Arts. His works, reflecting his principle of 'never try to improve on nature', are reminiscent of the Impressionist style.
Today, his artwork graces the collections of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, The Armagh County Museum, the Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery of Modern Art, and the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin. Craig remained an active artist until his death in 1944.
