About the artist
Jody, born in 1979 in Britain, partnered with his brother Luke, a Central Saint Martins graphic design graduate. They established Hudson-Powell after Jody got his master's degree in virtual environments. They made their mark, not just through their art but also by collaborating with high-profile clients like Nickelodeon, Coca-Cola, and even the 2012 London Olympics. Their joining forces with Pentagram in 2015 amplified their influence. The brothers strive to modernise graphic design, melding traditional and future mediums.
The siblings' journey to artwork was shaped by their hobbies and their painter mom who nurtured their creativity. For Luke, sci-fi, skateboarding, and music heavily influenced his work, while Jody resonated with hacking hardware and game creation. They've made a huge impact on various aspects of graphic design, continually pushing the boundaries. Despite their impressive portfolio, they remain modest, valuing the depth that anonymity can bring to their creations.
