About the artist
A master in oil and gouache, this artist specialised in landscapes, sea scenes, and floral pieces. Born in London, he refined his skills at the Hampstead School of Art. During World War II, he served as an official fireman-artist. He showcased his art at a variety of venues such as the RA, RSA, RWA, Leicester, Redfern, and Trafford Galleries. His work was recognised and is held by the Imperial War Museum and Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery in Devon. Publications like Studio, Sphere, and Tatler featured his art. He spent his life in Polperro, Cornwall.
