About the artist
Disney Pixar animator and director John Lasseter, born January 12, 1957 and died January 22, 2020, was a pioneer of computer animation and a key figure in the development of the modern-day animated feature film. He was a major influence in the development of the Pixar Animation Studios, and was the executive producer of all Pixar films. Lasseter was also the director of the first two Toy Story films, A Bug's Life, and Cars. He was the recipient of two Academy Awards, a Golden Globe, and a Special Achievement Award.
