About this artwork
"The Cam Brook, a tributary of the River Avon, meanders through Bath before joining up with Milford Brook. Eventually, it morphs into the Cam river, which gently flows to the south of Bristol. This valley, once buzzing with mining activities, a canal, and a steam railway, has now turned into a charming spot for tranquil countryside strolls. You'll find trees, fields, hidden gardens, and grazing livestock scattered across the landscape. Birch trees are the valley's bottom dwellers, adding a sense of balance and structure to this simultaneously peaceful and untamed scenery. Whenever I explore such locations, I can't help but feel the echoes of its past inhabitants and its rich history." Andrew Lansley
