About the artist

Thierry Poncelet (1947-present) is a Belgian artist known for his abstract expressionist paintings. He is a self-taught artist who has been painting since the age of 15. His works are characterised by bold colours and dynamic brushstrokes. He is inspired by the works of the Fauvists and the Expressionists, as well as the works of the Impressionists. He has exhibited his works in galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He has also been awarded several prestigious awards, including the Prix de la Critique in Belgium.
