About the artist
From a tender age, Steven Webb was fascinated by art, an interest that soon evolved beyond traditional mediums. He found himself drawn towards mixed media, experimenting with various textures and finishes, sparking an even deeper love for art creation. He explored the interaction between different mediums and images, discovering a unique blend of charcoal, wax, pastel, and more that enriched his paintings with depth and intrigue. Steven always valued simplicity in his subjects, but also infused a strong emphasis on mood. For instance, he skillfully manipulated the texture of transparent wax according to the subject. His learning journey took him to the St. Michael Institute of Sacred Art in Mystic, Connecticut, and he benefited from private tutelage by various professors and professional artists, refining his ability to translate his ideas onto paper and canvas.
