About the artist
His extraordinary talent in art was recognised at the esteemed Royal Academy, where he showcased his work from 1934 to 1947. Two of his masterpieces are currently housed in the Islington Local History Centre & Museum. Weeks' artistic journey took him from northern France and the Netherlands to Wales and London, where he spent a significant part of his life.
In the commercial art circuit, Weeks held a prestigious position. As a distinguished member of the notorious London Sketch Club, he left his footprint by designing booklets and posters for HMV. Prior to this, he demonstrated his expertise in the London Underground by designing an array of projects, including posters for the FA Cup.
