About the artist
Rebecca Charlton yearns to transform her love for art into an inclusive platform for communication and acceptance. She finds immense pleasure in crafting solutions that evoke joy. From an early age, Saturday mornings were dedicated to sketching Pokémon characters and consuming cheerios, a testament to her inherent artistic passion. Her wardrobe would have proudly boasted, "Prefer to sketch" as a favorite motto. Rebecca's fondness for art didn't just rest at Pokémon doodles. Determined to follow her artistic ambitions, she enrolled in AP Art classes and later, majored in Graphic Design at San José State University. This program nurtured her drawing skills and broadened her artistic palette with charcoal, gouache, abundant photography, and art history. By contributing to the school newspaper, she refined her magazine design, copy editing, and writing skills. Graduating with a BA in Graphic Design and a minor in Journalism, Rebecca now merges visual design with the written word as her creative outlets.
