About the artist
In 1905, Pierre fully committed to painting. Starting in 1906, he participated in numerous exhibitions, including the inaugural surrealist painters' exhibition in 1925 alongside legends like Giorgio de Chirico, Max Ernst, and Pablo Picasso. He had his first solo exhibition in 1926. By 1933, Pierre served as a naval artist for five years.
Beyond painting, he created stage sets, Vogue magazine covers, and promotional posters. His surrealistic work was often characterised by an imaginative fusion of everyday items, generating poetic imagery.
