Express services:

Express service for unframed print and posters by Royal Mail Special Delivery to arrive the next working day for an additional cost. Framed prints are always shipped by express courier.

UK - £3.95 for unframed items by 1st Class Packetpost
UK - £6.90 for unframed items by Royal Mail Special Delivery
UK - £8.95 for framed items.

International - Shipping is calculated before you check out according to destination.
International - Unframed by Registered AirMail or by premium express courier (select at checkout).
Very large prints are always sent by express service.

About the artist

Born into a family of artists in Paris, 1885, Pierre Brissaud emerged as a central figure in French Art Deco. His brother Jacques and uncle Maurice Boutet de Monvel, both painters, were crucial influences, as well as his first cousin, Bernard Boutet de Monvel, revered as a top-tier Art Deco illustrator. Their shared artistic journeys were intertwined, enriched by the tutelage of their uncle.

Pierre's artistic evolution further advanced when he was admitted to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, thanks to his uncle's guidance. Under Fernand Cormon's mentorship, alongside fellow students Jacques, André-Édouard Marty, Charles Martin, and Georges Lepape, he explored and refined his style. This academic ensemble would significantly influence the future of French Art Deco.

Brissaud's career ascended in 1907 when invited to display his works at the Salon des Indépendants and Salon d'Automne. More commissions flowed following the exhibition, bolstered further after meeting fashion editor Lucien Vogel, instrumental in featuring Brissaud's art in the Gazette de la Mode et du Bon Ton. This exposure led to numerous fashion house commissions, and during the 1920s Art Deco zenith, Brissaud specialised in pochoir (stencil prints), establishing a reputation for his vibrant, idyllic depictions of Parisian high society.
