About the artist
Her journey took a different path when she decided to start a family and revisited her passion for art. She started expressing herself through watercolours and continued freelance writing for various Chicago publications, including the Tribune. Jean's artistic journey evolved to include mediums like oil, oil pastel, and acrylic. She exhibited her creations in northern Illinois and shared her knowledge by teaching watercolour painting and guest lecturing at colleges.
When she relocated to North Carolina, she continued painting, contributing her skills to public murals. She was recognised with numerous awards and purchase accolades. Jean's artworks, featuring subjects from figures to landscapes, adorn northern Illinois and central North Carolina's offices, libraries, and residences. She had a special affinity for painting Spanish and Tuscan landscapes, Blue Ridge Mountain vistas, light-filled interiors, and vintage windows.
