About this artwork
Frank Sinatra, born on December 12, 1915 and died on May 14, 1998, was a well known American artist who wore many hats - singer, actor, and producer. He was one of the most sought-after music artists in the early 1900s. Sinatra's music was significantly influenced by the smooth and mellow vocal style of Bing Crosby, and he kick-started his music career during the vibrant swing era. The attached photograph of Sinatra was clicked in 1951 - a time when his professional career hit a roadblock, and he decided to shift his focus to Las Vegas. Here, he cemented his place as one of the most famous performers in residence, as a part of the legendary Rat Pack.
