About the artist
During the 1920s and 30s, Gluck gained fame for her portraitures and floral art, much loved by well known interior designer Syrie Maugham. Gluck didn't affiliate with any particular art movement and only displayed her art in solo exhibitions. She created a unique patented frame that made her paintings seem like architectural elements of the room.
In 1944, Gluck shifted to Chantry House in Steyning, Sussex, where she resided with her partner Edith Shackleton Heald until her demise in 1978.
