About the artist
Born in Brighton, England, 1972, Elizabeth Hellman refined her fine art skills at Brighton and London Guildhall Universities. She frequently showcases her work at the Brighton Arts Festival's 'Open House' exhibitions. Drawing inspiration from nature and particularly flowers, Elizabeth focuses on capturing their fragile beauty and lively energy in her paintings. She employs a labor-intensive method using oil paints to build up vibrant, multi-layered hues, dedicating around 100 hours over several months to each piece. Besides painting, she cherishes gardening and countryside walks in her free time.
