About the artist
After graduating from the Royal College of Art, David, originally a painter, worked as a photographer for 20 years, capturing advertising and documentary images. In 2007, he abandoned his photography career to establish a personal gallery in Rye, where he exclusively sells his landscape photography. As the digital art world experienced significant changes, David embraced the opportunity to pursue an artistic path. The Purdie Gallery was born from his desire to create and a yearning for a career in art. Besides photography, David indulges in his passion for music, producing ambient electronic compositions played in the gallery. He believes that his photographs elevate ordinary scenes into extraordinary moments by capturing unexpected beauty in the world around us.
