About the artist
Claude Stanfield Moore was an American artist known for his abstract expressionist paintings. He was born in New York City in 1925 and studied at the Art Students League of New York. Moore was a member of the American Abstract Artists group and exhibited his work in numerous galleries and museums. He was also a professor of art at the University of California, Berkeley.
