About the artist
Cecil Aldin was a British artist and illustrator known for his charming and humorous depictions of animals and rural life. He was born in Slough in 1870 and studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Aldin was a prolific artist, producing over 3,000 works during his lifetime. He was also a successful author, publishing several books of his own work.
