About the artist
British photographer Barry Lategan, a South African native born in 1935, is well known for discovering and initially working with Twiggy. His prestigious subjects have included Princess Anne, Paul McCartney, and Salman Rushdie, among others. Despite living with progressing dementia since 2015, his work has graced significant exhibitions at institutions like the Victoria and Albert Museum. However, Lategan has not escaped controversy, facing accusations of sexual harassment in 2015.
