About the artist
Aubrey Beardsley was a British illustrator and author who was a leading figure in the Aesthetic Movement of the 1890s. He is best known for his black and white illustrations, which often featured grotesque and erotic elements. His work was highly influential in the development of modern art, and his drawings and prints remain popular to this day.
