Born in 1942, Albert Watson OBE is a well known Scottish photographer celebrated for his work in fashion, celebrity, and art photography. With over 100 Vogue covers and 40 Rolling Stone covers, Watson has also created iconic advertising campaigns for major brands like Prada, Chanel, and Levis. His portfolio includes memorable photographs such as Steve Jobs' biography cover portrait, Alfred Hitchcock holding a plucked goose, and a nude Kate Moss on her 19th birthday. Watson's photographic prints have been exhibited worldwide in galleries and museums. Photo District News recognised him as one of history's 20 most influential photographers, alongside Richard Avedon and Irving Penn. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Lucie Award, Grammy Award, Hasselblad Masters Award, three ANDY Awards, and the Royal Photographic Society's Centenary Medal and Honorary Fellowship (HonFRPS) in 2010, acknowledging his significant and enduring contributions to photography. In 2015, Queen Elizabeth II bestowed upon Watson the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in recognition of his services to photography.
