John Lowrie Morrison

(read reviews)
John Lowrie Morrison is a Scottish expressionist artist and a towering figure in the contemporary British art scene. 'Three O'Clock Ferry Iona’ depicts a ferry leaving Iona, a small island in the Inner Hebrides on the western coast of Scotland. Lowrie's vigorous application of paint and bold use of colour enhances the man-made ship which contrasts with the natural rugged scenery of the island.
